The 9th International Conference on Food Chemistry & Technology (FCT23) took place from November 27th to 29th, 2023, in Paris. Robert Fribus, a doctoral student from the department of Plant-based Foods under the supervision of Prof. Jekle, represented the University of Hohenheim at the conference. He impressed the participants and the Scientific Committee with his presentation on "Texture modulation of starch-based materials using microstructuring-assisted additive manufacturing," earning him The Best Oral Presentation Award. Robert's presentation showcased the possibilities of microstructuring and additive manufacturing in modulating various starch-based materials. His contribution underscores our university's commitment to high-quality research in the field of additive manufacturing
