Department of Plant-based Foods at the Science-Tour with MP & science minister [24.01.23]
Our plant-based food department is proud to have presented the research in the phytotechnical center to Prime Minister Kretschmann and Science Minister Olschowski. Our doctoral student Esther Addo and master's student Alena Fries, together with Prof. Dr. Mario Jekle presented the innovative approach of 3D printing to secure food supplies and sustainability. It was a great experience and opportunity for everyone to get an overview of the research fields of the University of Hohenheim in the field of bioeconomy and biodiversity. Not only are we happy to be able to bring the concept of #3Dfood into politics in the context of plant-based - the enthusiasm of the others also gives us the motivation to invest even more effort in food science!
